Medical Technologist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of complex laboratory tests and analyses to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with laboratory information systems and healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on blood, urine, and other patient specimens. Analyze and interpret laboratory results while ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Perform quality control procedures and review quality assurance data to ensure reliable test results. Process and prepare specimens according to established laboratory protocols. Conduct testing in areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, endocrinology, therapeutic drug monitoring, and urinalysis. Document laboratory findings accurately using laboratory information systems and electronic medical records. Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance requirements. Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to support patient care. Maintain organized records and participate in laboratory process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field. Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License in good standing. Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience. Proficiency with laboratory information systems and strong computer skills. Experience performing laboratory testing, specimen preparation, and specimen processing in a clinical setting. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Master's degree in a related scientific discipline. ASCP Certification. Experience with Epic and other laboratory computer systems. Experience operating automated laboratory analyzers, including Roche Cobas platforms. Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance, quality control review, and result interpretation.
