Sr. Laboratory Technician

The Quality Control department is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician (O3 Level) to perform routine basic and mid-level laboratory procedures for the testing of veterinary biologicals. Operating under strict government and company-imposed guidelines, this day-shift position requires a strong foundational understanding of the biological and chemical principles underlying quality control testing. Working with minimal guidance, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and safety of manufacturing materials, collaborating across departments like R&D and Manufacturing to support product release. Responsibilities Perform Quality Control release and transfer testing protocols, including mammalian and insect cell culture, bacterial and viral inactivation assurance testing, ELISA, and HPLC. Prepare, sterilize, and maintain essential laboratory media, solutions, reagents, supplies, glassware, and equipment. Document and enter test results into tracking systems (LIMS and/or SAP), carefully cross-checking wet records against system data to evaluate test dispositions. Conduct thorough peer record reviews to ensure data integrity and compliance with strict regulatory guidelines. Troubleshoot basic and mid-level test methods independently or with limited technical guidance. Participate in the creation, revision, and optimization of SOPs, test methods, and technical worksheets for assigned testing areas. Promptly report and document all unusual or non-routine occurrences to QC Management, while actively supporting special projects as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field with 0 years of experience, OR Associate degree in a related field with 2 or more years of experience, OR High school diploma (or equivalency) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a related field. Experience Familiarity with basic to moderately complex laboratory techniques, procedures, and general knowledge of biology and chemistry concepts. Proven ability to follow complex oral/written instructions and handle a large volume of highly detailed technical work across multiple parallel tasks. Demonstrated experience working productively both independently and within a collaborative team atmosphere under minimal supervision. Strong professional writing, laboratory mathematics, and cross-functional communication skills. Additional Information Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday. Physical Requirements: Ability to manually lift and move laboratory materials weighing up to 25 lbs., utilizing dollies and hand trucks as needed. Preferred Experience: Proficiency with 9 CFR testing of veterinary biologicals; hands-on experience with SAP, LIMS, cell culture, ELISA, or HPLC systems is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr WorkLlama, Inc.
