Behavioral Program CoordinatorUnder the direction of the Director, the Behavioral Program Coordinator administers the day-to-day execution, implementation, and compliance of a federal HRSA grant-funded behavioral health program. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting students, assisting with budgetary alignment, establishing formal training partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and maintaining comprehensive data tracking and federal reporting. As a primary liaison, this role drives vital campus and community collaborations, guiding student navigators and coordinators while partnering with key departments like CTE faculty, Admissions, and Advising to bolster student enrollment, retention, and seamless transitions. Any applicants who earned academic credentials from outside of the United States and wish to use those credits for consideration must also upload an evaluation of college credit earned at the non-U.S. institution.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProgram Development, Implementation & BudgetRecruit and select students to participate in the HRSA grant–funded program.Develop and expand community-based experiential training sites in partnership with behavioral health organizations.Establish and maintain formal partnerships with behavioral health community-based organizations (CBOs).Collaborate with behavioral health faculty advisors and community partners to align program activities with training and workforce needs.Advertise and market the program to increase student awareness and participation.Coordinate program implementation, ensuring compliance with HRSA grant requirements.Track and document grant-related data, including student participation and program outcomes.Conduct surveys, follow-up activities, and data collection to assess program effectiveness.Prepare and submit required reports to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and other stakeholders.Assist in aligning program activities with budgetary needs in accordance with federal guidelines.College & Community CollaborationsServes as a primary point of contact for community-based organizations (CBOs) and other external partners.Represents the program at regular community partner meetings to develop and maintain a referral network with social service agencies and programs.Collaborates with Career and Technical Education (CTE) faculty, deans, directors, Admissions, Advising, College Access Programs, and student services staff to support student enrollment and retention.Serves as a lead for navigators/coaches and the internship coordinator, providing training and guidance as needed.Develops marketing materials and delivers presentations to prospective students, community organizations, and on-campus partners regarding program services, qualifications, and expectations.Builds and strengthens partnerships with behavioral health CBOs in alignment with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant through the Department of Health and Human Services.Collaborates with behavioral health faculty advisors and community partners to ensure alignment of training opportunities with workforce and student needs.Program SupportCollaborate with Academic Development Program staff, advisors, and other college departments to create an atmosphere supportive of students and their transitionsParticipate in the annual planning process and evaluation of program servicesTrack and document grant-related data, including student participation and program outcomesConduct surveys, follow-up activities, and data collection to assess program effectivenessPrepare and submit reports to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and other stakeholders as requiredInstitutional ExpectationsEmbraces diversity and actively collaborates effectively with a variety of students, staff and the public from diverse cultural, social, economic and educational backgroundsParticipates in recruitment and retention of students at an individual and institutional level in promotion of student successEmbraces, understands and uses appropriate technology tools to accomplish job functionsProvides high quality, effective service to internal and external customers through continuous improvement and adoption of lean office practicesCandidate QualificationsYour application will be scored based on the minimum qualifications, core competencies, and preferred qualifications listed below. Please ensure you include all information on your application which you wish to be considered.Minimum Qualifications:This level requires an equivalency of six (6) years of full-time work experience related to the essential functions and duties of the position listed above.ORA Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration or a related fieldANDTwo (2) years of full-time work experience related to the essential functions and duties of the position listed above.Note: No substitutions will be made for one (1) year of full-time work experience.Core Competencies:Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles.Knowledge of at-risk students and their needs.Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening).Demonstrated organizational skills prioritizing and assigning work.Ability to work independently, solve problems, self-manage, and collaborate as a member of a team to achieve tangible outcomes.Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient to select appropriate behaviors, values and attitudes within different cultures during interactions with others.Preferred Qualifications:Current QMHA, CADC or higher-level behavioral health certification or licensure.Experience providing professional expertise and guidance related to behavioral health advising, practicum placement, and workforce development.Experience assisting students or diverse populations in navigating community resources and agency partnerships to overcome socio-economic barriers, such as financial hardship, academic challenges, housing instability, transportation limitations, or other obstacles to educational and career success.Demonstrated expertise in communicating effectively and building collaborative working relationships with staff, students and partners within the organization.Additional InformationSCHEDULE & MODALITYBased on individual assessment business needs, supervisory discretion and/or college directives, a percentage of the duties of this position may be performed remotely up to one day a week or scheduled only for special projects requiring focus time.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTThis is a 100%, 12-month classified assignment at Pay Grade 18. This position is grant funded and has an end date of August 31, 2029.This position has a 6-month probationary periodAll positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college.Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekendsThis position may require the use of your personal vehicle for transportation between campus locationsIf requested, requires the provision of official transcripts upon hireEmployees must maintain Oregon, Washington or Idaho residency as a condition of employment.Successful applicants for designated positions must successfully pass a background inquiry, which may include criminal, driving, credit and full background checks.
