Cost Estimator Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of the Spirax Group, integrates Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses to deliver electrical process heating and temperature management solutions. The portfolio includes industrial heaters, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies. Durex Industries brings over 40 years of expertise in the thermal control business, providing custom thermal solutions, engineering design, manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance services across process industries, life sciences, plastics processing, food and packaging, aerospace, defense, and security. The Role Under the supervision of the Application Engineering Manager, the Estimator verifies costs and routing to ensure accuracy, enabling competitive pricing for key accounts. The role collaborates with Application Engineering to create bills of materials and determine routing stations and times for each design, ensuring cost accuracy across the Durex portfolio. Your Responsibilities Analyze all elements involved in the production and completion of customer products. Create estimates for Bills of Materials, Routing, and additional costs such as outside services. Provide estimates to Application Engineering for review. Analyze existing part costing using Bills of Materials and Routing information in Microsoft Great Plains (GP). Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Understand and demonstrate commitment to the Quality Policy. Complete projects and/or tasks on time. Meet defined and measurable goals. Ensure all job operations conform to ISO 9001:2000 standards and procedures. Adhere to all company standards and policies outlined in the employee handbook. Initiate and implement process improvement and/or cost reduction activities. Requirements Knowledge of materials and production processes and their related costs. Proficiency with computers. Strong organizational skills. Analytical skills to evaluate facts and information, supporting customer needs and deadlines. Effective communication skills at all levels within the organization. Ability to prepare financial cost estimates using tools such as Excel and Great Plains. Associate degree or equivalent experience. Experience with data processing equipment.
