ACCOUNTANT II (CLASS CODE 0422)

Responsibilities Intermediate level accounting work in examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting and financial records; assisting in the preparation and maintenance of more difficult and complex accounting records; and related duties as required. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. OR a Bachelor’s Degree in another field with at least twenty‑four (24) semester hours in Accounting. One (1) year of professional accounting experience. Professional experience must be paid and may be considered relevant by Civil Service. Additional Requirements for Promotional Examination Permanent status as an Accountant I with the City of New Orleans. One (1) year of experience in the Accountant I classification.
