Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Payrate: Up to $22 per hour
About the role:
Inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy , fit, alignment and functional operation according to blueprints, parts manuals, company or military standards and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
Perform incoming inspection on items for shipping to outside vendors and for items received from outside vendors.
Reject any products and/or materials that fail to meet required drawings and/ or specifications.
Test hardness of metals, using testing equipment.
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
Receive parts in to PLEX (ERP system)
FMEA - Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in inspection
Experience3 in ISO/IATF, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FIFI, LIFO
PPAP, APQP
Experience with blueprint reading
Experience with plate inspection
2 years experience with calipers and inspection tools - aerospace and automotive industry
