Our client is a leading media and advertising agency known for innovative brand strategies and audience engagement. The company partners with diverse clients to deliver impactful marketing solutions. They are looking to add a Strategy Director to their team. They foster a creative and collaborative culture focused on growth and excellence.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65/hr

Position Overview:

The Strategy Director will lead audience insight and communications planning, providing strategic direction that drives creative and business success. This role involves deep research, trend analysis, and collaboration with agency and client teams to develop compelling brand strategies. The position supports thought leadership and new business development within a dynamic agency environment.

Responsibilities of the Strategy Director:

• Lead audience insight and communications planning to inform strategic initiatives.
• Develop and deliver research, insights, and creative briefs that inspire innovative solutions.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including audience segmentation and competitive research.
• Collaborate with creative teams to translate insights into compelling brand messaging.
• Support the development of research deliverables and attend research interviews as needed.
• Utilize tools such as Miro, Mural, Jamboard, MRI/Simmons, Netbase, Helixa, Statista, You.gov, and Kantar.
• Contribute to intellectual products and strategic vision within the planning department.
• Lead smaller-scale brand strategy deliverables including personas, journey maps, positioning, and creative briefs.
• Drive thought leadership and support new business development efforts.

Required Experience/Skills for the Strategy Director:

• 6 to 8 years of marketing experience in a creative agency or market research with a focus on strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Digital fluency and familiarity with social media trends and interactive platforms.
• Experience with multicultural marketing is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, creativity-driven culture.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Strategy Director:

• Proven leadership in strategic planning and brand development.
• Experience outside traditional marketing (e.g., digital shops, ethnography, research houses) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with creative partners.
• Familiarity with multicultural and diverse audience strategies.
• Advanced proficiency with research and collaboration tools.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Integrated Marketing, Brand Planning, or related fields is required.
• Master's degree or higher is preferred.
