This full-time, on-site Special Education role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a 1:1 educator in a school setting. Based near Charleston, SC, with openings for contract travel professionals from the Charlotte, North Carolina area, this position is designed for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification required for consideration
• Previous experience working 1:1 with students in a special education environment preferred
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Compassion, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to a designated student in a school environment
• Develop, implement, and track progress toward IEP goals
• Modify teaching approaches according to the unique learning styles of the student
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administrators about student progress and needs
• Ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
