Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the finance team through general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post assigned general ledger journal entries and other financial transactions.Collect, compile, and analyze financial data to support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and financial analysis.Assist with financial reporting and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.Support senior analysts with ongoing accounting and reporting activities.Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.Maintain compliance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.Foundational understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including: Sorting and filtering dataFormulas and functionsPivot tablesStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Ability to follow established procedures while meeting deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
