Position Overview The ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) provides patient fitting services in support of the sales organization and the team of Regional Clinical Advisors (RCA). This paid per fitting, contract position involves fitting and training local patients with a wearable defibrillator. Responsibilities Fit and train patients with the ASSURE® wearable defibrillator and obtain certification as an APS. Provide instruction and instill confidence in patients with proven patient‑care skills. Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule fitting services. Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours as required. Travel to hospitals, patient homes, and other healthcare facilities to perform fittings. Measure patients to determine correct garment size. Review and transmit essential paperwork to receive the ASSURE garment and services. Manage inventory of ASSURE system kits, garments, and electronic equipment. Adhere to the Pledge of Confidentiality. Competencies Passion for the company and the heart‑failure space. Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with clinicians. Commitment to lifelong learning. Requirements At least 1 year of paid patient‑care experience (not as a family caregiver). Clinical or engineering background such as nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, catheterization lab technicians, physician assistants, or ECG technicians. Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable). Completion of background check; Florida and Ohio applicants must complete level 2 screening, paid by Kestra. Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from the completed work order. Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90‑day probationary period. Experience in patient and/or clinician education. Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record. Consistent ability to work in the field in and around the region. Credentialing for hospital system entry, including vaccination and immunization verification, background check, drug screening, agreement to hospital policies, and completion of online courses (HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical/Fire Safety). Preferred Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Direct cardiac patient‑care experience (RN, RT, CVIS, paramedic, CRM). Work Environment Typical office or hospital noise levels.
