Accounts Payable Specialist
Ready to take the next step in your accounting career with a well-established and growing organization in the construction industry? We are partnering with a respected North Texas company seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their collaborative accounting team.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in project financial operations while working alongside professionals who value teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Review supporting documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Maintain payment records and update internal tracking systems
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support credit card expense processing and coding
- Coordinate with project teams and vendors regarding payment-related inquiries
- Assist with project closeout documentation and financial record maintenance
- Manage AP-related correspondence and document organization
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience within the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction-related sales tax requirements
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with accounting/ERP systems
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Vista/Viewpoint software
- Construction accounting background with subcontractor billing and compliance documentation experience
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $67,000.00 per year
