TEMP- LOAN PROCESSING SPECIALIST

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented TEMP- LOAN PROCESSING SPECIALIST for a 16-week temporary assignment supporting loan administration, documentation review, data processing, and customer communication. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys working with financial records, regulated documentation, Excel reports, and process-driven work.

This role offers a structured schedule, hybrid flexibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a professional loan operations team. Candidates will work in a supportive environment with clear procedures, collaborative internal partners, and leadership focused on accuracy, service, and timely completion of loan processing activities. Prior loan processing experience is helpful, but candidates with strong administrative, data processing, customer service, banking, finance, accounting, or documentation experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Review installment loan files and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Monitor system-generated and departmental reports using Microsoft Excel to track loan file status, outstanding items, and documentation needs.
- Receive, scan, index, and organize loan documents from internal departments, customers, title companies, third-party vendors, and other sources.
- Coordinate booking of new loans and updates to existing loans while following established procedures and deadlines.
- Communicate professionally by phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve documentation issues and complete loan files.
- Support special projects, reporting, trend analysis, policy documentation, and audit or department requests as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $22 to $23 per hour.
- Assignment type: Contract/temporary.
- Assignment length: 16 weeks.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid.
- On-site schedule: Wednesday and Thursday in Mendota Heights, MN.
- Remote schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
- Additional required Saturday workdays: October 24, 2026 and January 23, 2027.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Review and process loan files, documentation, and supporting records for accuracy and completeness.
- Track outstanding loan documentation and follow up with internal and external contacts to resolve issues.
- Use Microsoft Excel and system-generated reports to monitor loan status, documentation exceptions, and department activity.
- Support loan booking, file maintenance, payment plan setup, reporting, and special administrative projects.

- Associate degree in Business or high school diploma with equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, loan processing, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience preferred based on role level.
- Ability to understand and explain the basic workings of an amortization schedule.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong data processing, administrative, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Strong customer service skills with professional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, follow established procedures, and work independently in a hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous loan processing, loan administration, banking, finance, accounting, or loan servicing experience.
- Experience with SAP.
- Knowledge of loan origination, loan structuring, and loan servicing requirements.
- Experience working with financial documentation, regulated processes, audit requests, or compliance-related documentation.
