Key Responsibilities In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will: Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients through secure video conferencing platforms. Facilitate discussions that encourage clients to explore and articulate their emotions, fostering self-awareness and insights into their personal relationships. Act as a client advocate, helping them to identify and articulate their goals for therapy. Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and develop actionable treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and your clinical expertise. Maintain progress notes and treatment documentation in accordance with organizational standards, ensuring minimal paperwork while maximizing your time for client interaction. Patient Population / Client Focus Your caseload will consist of pre-screened clients with stable and low-acuity mental health needs. This focus allows you to provide targeted interventions without the pressures often associated with high-acuity cases. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients who are motivated to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. An independent mental health license from the state of Illinois, including LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW. Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted. Demonstrated ability to make clinical evaluations, develop treatment plans, and execute therapeutic interventions effectively. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a warm and empathetic approach to client interactions. Strong computer literacy, enabling you to effectively navigate our therapist portal and online resources. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will stand out: Experience providing telehealth services or virtual counseling. Background in working with diverse populations and a commitment to inclusivity in mental health care. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, particularly solution-focused or cognitive-behavioral techniques.
