Lab Assistant
$18.15 - $25.32 per hourLabcorp
PAML, a Labcorp company, seeks a Lab Assistant for its Richland, Washington facility to receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The position operates on a night shift schedule (10 pm to 6:30 am) with rotating weekends and involves equipment maintenance, data entry, and quality assurance duties.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical laboratory specimens for analysis
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Monitor laboratory equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve specimen-related issues
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish supplies as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling and accurately identifying biological specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science (preferred)
- Prior laboratory or hospital specimen processing experience, 6+ months (preferred)
Compensation: $18.15 to $25.32 per hour plus third shift differential
