Remote Legal Counsel

Virtual Vocations Inc

To support a fully remote legal department, the part-time Legal Counsel will manage contract negotiations, provide compliance support for Know Your Business procedures, and assist in policy development while conducting legal research on legislative developments. Key responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with payment service providers, software vendors, and third-party suppliers Support Know Your Business procedures, including verification and onboarding of corporate partners Assist in the preparation and implementation of internal corporate policies and compliance frameworks Required qualifications Strong analytical skills to interpret complex legal texts and identify potential risks Business-level understanding of the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech sectors Foundational knowledge of European licensing regimes, including MiCA, MiFID, and EMI/PSD Good understanding of international AML regulations and the Crypto Travel Rule
