Medical Assistant Dermatology

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) will provide clinical support in an adult outpatient dermatology clinic setting. This role involves assisting healthcare providers with patient care, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The MA-C will float between two clinic locations within a 50-mile radius as needed, supporting patient assessments, documentation, and other medical assisting duties. A minimum of six months' experience in an adult outpatient clinic is required, with dermatology experience preferred. This is a temporary to hire position with a Monday through Thursday day shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures in dermatology outpatient clinics.
Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and prepare patients for examination.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (preferably EPIC).
Support medication administration and treatment preparation as directed by providers.
Coordinate patient flow and ensure clinic efficiency.
Float between two clinic locations within the scheduled week to meet facility needs.
Maintain clinical supplies and equipment readiness.
Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential is mandatory.
At least 6 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Reliable personal transportation to travel between clinic sites.
Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience in dermatology outpatient clinics.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
Previous experience floating between multiple clinic locations.

Special Considerations:

This position is open to local candidates only within a 50-mile radius of the clinic locations.
No weekend or on-call requirements.
Candidate must have reliable transportation; public transportation is not acceptable due to floating between clinics.
Facility may call off the employee up to one shift per pay period.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity contingent on clinic needs and candidate performance.
Shifts are fixed; no block schedule accommodations.

Scheduling:

Monday through Thursday, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM).
Fridays, weekends, and holidays off.
Shifts split between two clinic locations: First Hill clinic on Monday and Thursday, Renton clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday.
