Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all ages utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate goals and comprehensive long-term outcomes related to communication, cognition, or swallowing abilities.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop cohesive and holistic care plans.
• Provide educational support to patients and families to enhance progress and understanding beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation in accordance with all relevant compliance standards and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within the first 30 days of employment.
