Immediate opening for a  Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)in  Los Angeles, CA who possesses:

• 5+ years of production equipment maintenance experience in an FDA-regulated environment, with food manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production machines
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and electrical systems up to 480V
• TIG welding experience preferred

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This permanent, 2nd shift role is responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong production equipment maintenance experience, electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC/VFD/HMI experience, mechanical repair knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems
• Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance according to established schedules
• Installing, adjusting, repairing, and replacing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC components
• Responding to equipment breakdowns to restore production safely and efficiently
• Performing equipment changeovers, adjustments, and production line support as required
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic drawings, and equipment manuals
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and preventive maintenance logs
• Recommending equipment improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime
• Maintaining maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems ranging from 24VDC through 480VAC
• Diagnosing and repairing motor controls, contactors, relays, transformers, sensors, fuses, heating elements, and VFDs
• Troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and HMI systems
• Using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, clamp meters, and amp meters
• Working safely with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Troubleshooting mechanical failures involving vibration, overheating, misalignment, and excessive wear
• Repairing and replacing bearings, bushings, shafts, gears, sprockets, chains, belts, pulleys, seals, couplings, and related components
• Performing equipment alignment and reassembly to restore production efficiently
• Fabricating and modifying machine components using welding and metal fabrication techniques
• Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems, including compressors, dryers, regulators, actuators, cylinders, valves, and blowers
• Troubleshooting hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, piston assemblies, and related components
• Reading and interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Assisting Production with equipment setup, adjustments, and operational support
• Coordinating repairs with Production to minimize downtime
• Communicating equipment concerns and repair status to supervisors and production personnel
• Collaborating with Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other departments as needed
• Supporting safety, quality, preventive maintenance compliance, and equipment reliability goals
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical or vocational training preferred
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Production equipment maintenance experience required
• FDA-regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Food manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Strong experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems required
• PLC-controlled equipment experience required
• HMI system experience required
• VFD experience required
• Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V required
• Experience with motor controls, contactors, relays, transformers, sensors, fuses, and heating elements preferred
• TIG welding experience preferred
• Metal fabrication experience preferred
• Basic carpentry and plumbing skills preferred
• HVAC maintenance experience preferred
• Forklift and boom lift certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency preferred
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins as required
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA
• Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with Saturday rotation as needed
• Ability to complete drug screen and physical requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, lift, carry, push, pull, and move throughout production, maintenance, warehouse, facility, and equipment areas as needed
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, welding, fabrication, and production equipment systems
• Ability to use hands and fingers for tools, testing equipment, welding, fabrication, machine repair, documentation, computer work, and standard maintenance tasks
• Ability to work with production machines, facility systems, electrical panels, PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, motors, pumps, valves, compressors, conveyors, and related equipment
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, maintenance records, preventive maintenance logs, repair documentation, and computer screens as needed
• Ability to visually inspect equipment, components, repairs, machine conditions, and completed work for accuracy and safety
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, fabrication tools, and maintenance equipment safely
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, noise, heat, production materials, and standard facility hazards
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins as required
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety, OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, facility, and quality procedures
• Ability to maintain accuracy, focus, and attention to detail while troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Salary Range: $30 to $33/hour
