At Cafe Okawari, located in the vibrant city of San Francisco, CA, we pride ourselves on offering a welcoming and lively dining experience with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Our open kitchen concept allows our team to connect with our guests while showcasing their culinary expertise. Were looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional dishes. This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 8 PM.
ResponsibilitiesAs our Lead Line Cook, youll play a key role in our kitchen operations. Youll be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Working in our open kitchen, youll also have the opportunity to interact with guests, making excellent hygiene and professionalism essential. Additionally, youll assist in supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role that requires a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence.
QualificationsWere looking for someone who brings both skill and enthusiasm to the table. Heres what were seeking:
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent hygiene, as youll be working in an open kitchen environment.
- Spanish-speaking or comprehension skills are a plus, but not required.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a love for creating great food.
