Overview Job Location: VivaMas Homestead - Homestead, FL 33032 The Front Desk plays a key role in ensuring smooth front-line operations. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, managing check-ins, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining an organized and professional reception area. This position is essential in creating a positive first impression and supporting effective communication between patients and staff. Job Responsibilities Greet and assist patients as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying and updating patient information. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize appointment availability. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing information or directing calls to the appropriate staff member. Process patient payments, verify insurance information, and assist with billing inquiries. Maintain organized patient records and ensure accuracy of data in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Coordinate with medical staff to prioritize and manage patient flow within the clinic. Address and resolve patient concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Stay informed about changes in healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and clinic procedures. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year minimum of previous experience in a healthcare front desk or administrative role is required Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology. AHCA Requirements This position may require successful completion and maintenance of an AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida healthcare regulations. Candidates must be able to meet all eligibility and compliance requirements prior to employment. Proficiency in Creole/French is a plus Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes. Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion Physical Requirements/Working Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Moderate computer use is required.
