Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments; document findings thoroughly.
• Assess patient conditions continuously and escalate concerns to the medical team promptly.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Maintain sterile procedures and uphold infection control standards at all times.
• Document all clinical activities and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in medical-surgical units.
• Valid and current RN license in the state of Tennessee or appropriate state licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, and patient monitoring.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
