We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality‑focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Reports to: Director of Golf General Purpose Oversees and maintains all facets of the golf operation. Provides professional support, direction, management, training and leadership to golf staff associates. Promotes and nurtures customer relations and enhances the quality of the golf experience. Essential Duties Oversee all facets of the golf operations, including tournament operations and set up, rules, tee sheet activity, range operations, player service operations, cart fleet. Assist in controls of expenses in relation to revenues. Create a customer service‑oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets the needs of the members and guests. Ensure that associates provide a high level of customer service. Work closely with the Superintendent and the Food and Beverage Manager daily to ensure timely communication and to establish a good working relationship. Prepare work schedules and assign associates areas of responsibility. Perform payroll tasks as scheduled and adjust prior to submitting to payroll. Monitor hours to maximize productivity and minimize overtime. Provide leadership and vision to golf staff, building people, and preparing them for career advancement. Assist the Director of Golf in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assist in and manage department members that may include but are not limited to: Assistant and Associate Golf Professionals, Tournament Coordinator, and various Guest Services Attendants, Rangers/Marshalls. Ensure that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develop ongoing training programs. Monitor business volume forecast and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses. Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction. Communicate any changes or new policies and procedures to the department. Conduct staff meetings with subordinates (bi‑weekly to monthly). Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four‑year college or university; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (multi‑course facilities may require more experience). Language Skills May be required: to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents, to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. To effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills May be required: to calculate figures and statistical inference; to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability May be required: to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands to finger feel or handle; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Requirements Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non‑weather). Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. Certificates / Licenses Class A member of PGA/LPGA. Alcohol Awareness Training. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.
