Under general direction, you will ensure optimal inventory levels, maintain accurate data, and foster strong supplier relations. Your responsibilities include executing timely, independent decisions, optimizing profit, negotiating prices, and supporting the sales team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Procurement Management: Procure goods and services, managing moderate financial commitments and technical complexities. Develop an understanding of Buyer Order Control parameters to ensure accurate data and proper stock levels. Inventory Management: Manage inventory to maintain >98% fill rate accuracy in distribution centers using Infor Distribution SX. Employ value analysis techniques to ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. Supplier Relations: Manage supplier relations and resolve open issues to ensure smooth procurement processes. Decision-Making and Analysis: Execute timely, independent decisions based on best practices and customer requirements. Analyze and adjust purchase orders to optimize profit and reconcile discrepancies. Sales Support: Support the sales team with product information, purchase orders, vendor terms, delivery, and other related requests. Maintain accurate pricing and communicate changes in Infor Distribution SX. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain necessary records related to procurement activities. COMPETENCIES: Intermediate analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems. Understanding of material flow and requirements planning (MRP) concepts, including order points, lead-time, and safety stock. Knowledge of business processes and procedures related to procurement. Ability and desire to be a self-starter, taking initiative in daily tasks and responsibilities. Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues and provide innovative solutions. Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and make independent decisions. Effective verbal and written communication skills, both in person and over the telephone. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 1 – 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, or equivalent military or practical experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Inventory software. Experience with Infor Distribution SX is highly desirable. Familiarity with Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Inventory software. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance. Compensation includes the posted base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities, where applicable. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related compensatory factors. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
