LHH has partnered with an established biotech company in North County San Diego that is seeking a Purchasing Operations Coordinator to join their team on a contract to potential hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable balancing purchasing, supplier communication, and operational support responsibilities while managing competing priorities.


Responsibilities:

• Support daily purchasing and operational activities for a growing biotech organization
  
• Communicate with suppliers via phone and email regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and product availability
  
• Create, process, and track purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up
  
• Coordinate with internal teams to support inventory, procurement, and operational needs
  
• Monitor order status and proactively resolve issues related to shipments, shortages, or delays
  
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
  
• Assist with administrative and operational projects as needed
  
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, operations, supply chain, customer service, or a related field
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  
• Highly reliable, organized, and self-motivated
  
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  
• Experience working with suppliers, vendors, or inventory systems is preferred
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  

Compensation

• $28.00 - $32.00/hour
  
• Contract-to-Hire opportunity based on performance and business needs

Schedule:

• Hybrid Schedule
  
• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (some flexibility)
  
• Office is located in north county San Diego
