Process Engineer for AI Model Evaluation

Process engineers apply their process simulation, refinery planning, and chemical engineering expertise to evaluate AI-generated content, produce expert-level analytical deliverables, and provide feedback that helps AI reflect real-world process and refinery practices.

• Use your professional workflows and tools to complete structured, project-based tasks that mirror real work assignments.
• Produce analytical outputs such as price forecast models, PPA documentation, process simulation results, or refinery planning analyses.
• Review and critique AI-generated technical content for accuracy, plausibility, and alignment with industry practices.
• Document findings and provide clear, actionable feedback to improve AI outputs.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in process or refinery engineering in roles such as Process Engineer, Refinery Engineer, Process Simulation Engineer, Refinery Planning Engineer, LP Modeler, Refinery Optimization Engineer, or equivalent positions in the energy or chemical industry.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher in engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Aspen, Haverly GRTMPS, SuperPro Designer, AVEVA PI.
• Strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment.

• Engagement type: hourly, contract-based, part-time.
• Location: fully remote.
• Schedule: flexible, asynchronous; there is no minimum hour requirement. Most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• Project placement is determined by current needs; participation on one project does not guarantee assignment to others, but contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Pay is hourly, up to $80/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility and whether your school requires a CPT course for approval, as this engagement may not satisfy those requirements.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this engagement.
