Accounts Payable

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team in Clearwater, FL. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, expense reporting, and 1099 administration. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, effectively manages multiple priorities, and isn't afraid to ask questions to ensure accuracy. Location: Clearwater, FL (Fully Onsite) Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $22-$24/hour What You'll Be Doing: Process approximately 200 vendor invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation. Manage invoice approvals and prepare vendor payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Track vendor credits and identify discount opportunities. Process employee expense reports and company credit card reconciliations. Own the annual 1099 reporting process. Maintain accurate AP records and assist with month‑end reconciliations. Partner with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment‑related issues. What We're Looking For: 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience. Experience in a high‑volume invoice processing environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare, multi‑entity, or multi‑company environment. Experience with QuickBooks and/or ERP systems. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Experience with expense reporting and 1099 processing.
