Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials to practice.
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
- Ability to assess students’ needs and design effective intervention plans.
- Excellent communication skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to address varying student requirements.
- Passion for fostering student independence and confidence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments to identify challenges impacting classroom performance.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Deliver direct intervention and monitor progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapies into daily routines.
- Provide training, resources, and support for teachers and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings.
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment that encourages student growth.
