Operations Coordinator

Role Description
Tandem Care is hiring an Operations Coordinator to provide cross-line operational support across our Continuous Care, Targeted Care, and On Demand service lines. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume home care operations and is comfortable being the operational “floor” during the late-morning through evening window. You’ll help keep service running smoothly as the day team transitions off shift.
- Answer client and caregiver calls.
- Handle same-day and next-day schedule changes.
- Support scheduling logistics and document updates.
- Review visit notes for compliance issues.
- Execute recurring operations tasks.
This is not a passive administrative role. You will be actively helping solve real-time operational issues across multiple care programs, communicating with clients and caregivers, coordinating with internal teams, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in home care operations, scheduling, care coordination, client services, or a similar role within a licensed home care agency.
- Direct experience communicating with caregivers and clients in a fast-paced care environment.
- Experience with schedule changes, call-outs, client requests, or caregiver support strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working remotely while staying highly responsive and organized.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and frequent context switching.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Requirements
- Have worked in a licensed home care agency and understand how quickly schedules, client needs, and caregiver availability can change.
- Are comfortable being on the phone with clients, families, and caregivers throughout the day.
- Can stay calm and solution-oriented when a caregiver calls out, a client needs a schedule change, or multiple issues happen at once.
- Are highly organized and able to keep track of many moving pieces.
- Communicate clearly and document thoroughly.
- Understand that follow-through matters and that small details can impact client safety and service quality.
- Are comfortable working across multiple teams and service lines.
- Can distinguish between what needs immediate escalation and what needs to be documented for follow-up.
- Are proactive, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Enjoy operational problem-solving more than traditional administrative work.
