Operations Coordinator

Role Description

Tandem Care is hiring an Operations Coordinator to provide cross-line operational support across our Continuous Care, Targeted Care, and On Demand service lines. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume home care operations and is comfortable being the operational “floor” during the late-morning through evening window. You’ll help keep service running smoothly as the day team transitions off shift.

  • Answer client and caregiver calls.
  • Handle same-day and next-day schedule changes.
  • Support scheduling logistics and document updates.
  • Review visit notes for compliance issues.
  • Execute recurring operations tasks.

This is not a passive administrative role. You will be actively helping solve real-time operational issues across multiple care programs, communicating with clients and caregivers, coordinating with internal teams, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

If you are organized, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and energized by keeping a busy operation moving, this role may be a great fit.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in home care operations, scheduling, care coordination, client services, or a similar role within a licensed home care agency.
  • Direct experience communicating with caregivers and clients in a fast-paced care environment.
  • Experience with schedule changes, call-outs, client requests, or caregiver support strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working remotely while staying highly responsive and organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and frequent context switching.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Requirements

  • Have worked in a licensed home care agency and understand how quickly schedules, client needs, and caregiver availability can change.
  • Are comfortable being on the phone with clients, families, and caregivers throughout the day.
  • Can stay calm and solution-oriented when a caregiver calls out, a client needs a schedule change, or multiple issues happen at once.
  • Are highly organized and able to keep track of many moving pieces.
  • Communicate clearly and document thoroughly.
  • Understand that follow-through matters and that small details can impact client safety and service quality.
  • Are comfortable working across multiple teams and service lines.
  • Can distinguish between what needs immediate escalation and what needs to be documented for follow-up.
  • Are proactive, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Enjoy operational problem-solving more than traditional administrative work.
