This role involves precision engineering, production efficiency, and diesel engine optimization.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes.Perform Mazatrol code edits on the controller.Execute own setups, tool changes, and offsets.Interpret blueprints and guide sheets.Conduct basic inspections using standard measuring devices like calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins.Provide feedback to leaders to improve manufacturing processes.Perform setups efficiently and in a timely manner.Essential Skills4+ years as a CNC Set-Up Technician/Machinist on lathes.Experience with Mazatrol code edits or conversational programming.Proficiency in blueprint reading and holding tight tolerances.Ability to use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and bore gauges for inspecting finished parts.Strong math skills, including fractions to decimals conversion and calculator usage.Additional Skills & QualificationsCNC Mill & Lathe Mazak background with Integrix Controller.Prototype or production background.Why Work Here?We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation, holidays, personal/sick days, life insurance, disability insurance, and a 401(K) with company match. This position is for the 2nd shift, running from 3:30 pm to 12 am/2 am, depending on 8/10 hour shifts. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift from 5 am - 3:30 pm for 2-4 weeks based on skill level. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with the possibility of Saturdays. A 10% shift premium is offered for the 2nd shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Wixom, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $56160.00/yr.
