Department 35407 Carolinas Medical Center - LCH: Nursing: 3K Observation Status Full time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information 3, 12-hour night shifts per week; 7pm-7am Weekend and holiday requirements Pay Range $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work LCH 3K is a 22-bed medical observation unit that primarily serves the child and adolescent behavioral health population. Our unit serves as a safe place for these youth while the team finds the next level of care or services. The team includes nurses, psychiatric technicians, healthcare technicians, and patient safety attendants. All staff receive Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and certification. Expectations We’re Looking For Passion for behavioral health; prior experience preferred. Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. At least 6 months of RN experience; not for new graduates. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. What You’ll Do Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skillful communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
