CGP: Cash Accountant

Our client is actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join our their team. This role is a temporary position with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $34 to $36 per hour.
Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate cash management.
• Engage with various branches to resolve any discrepancies in cash balances.
• Utilize software for monitoring and verifying the integrity of cash transactions, ensuring accurate integration with cash matching applications.
• Provide support to the accounting team and participate in various ad hoc financial projects as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience :

• Strong attention to detail and prior experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections.
• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with efficient time management.
• Proficiency in managing large volumes of data and thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• A quick learner who is adept at using MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with GAAP and a good understanding of general ledger operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications :

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates with degrees in other disciplines who meet the job requirements are also encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience in cash reconciliation and balancing, with a proven ability to handle transaction volumes ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 daily.
