This opportunity allows you to work in either a dynamic middle school or vibrant elementary school classroom, close to Greenwich, CT. As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide direct instruction and personalized interventions that promote educational growth and inclusion.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certificate (CT - SPED).
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting.
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering engaging, individualized instruction in small group and inclusive settings.
• Developing and managing IEPs, including assessments and regular updates.
• Collaborating closely with general educators, therapists, and parents to enhance student learning.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and progress records.
• Supporting students’ social and emotional growth while fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

In addition to the rewarding nature of this position, you’ll earn a competitive rate of $70+ per hour for the duration of the school year.
