Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values.What you will doResponsible for the planning and implementation of the Foundation’s Annual giving program, including mailed and electronic fundraising appeals, annual giving donor retention and elevation strategies, and the management and development of donor giving societies.Responsible for the Foundation’s Stewardship and Communication activities, including: major gift donor recognition and timely informational updates and planning and implementation of general donor stewardship communications, events, and other activities.Supports the Foundation team’s efforts to secure philanthropic donations by planning and executing stewardship and communication strategies to strengthen donor relationships and engagement with the Foundation.Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of low-level to mid-level prospects and donors, with emphasis on individuals.Collaborates with fellow department team members to leverage work products for multiple purposes and to benefit collective fundraising efforts, including aligning annual giving and communication strategies with other priorities, such as: planned giving, major gifts, and events.Effectively communicates with colleagues within and outside the department to share information, resources, and ideas to enhance the Foundations and others work.Education QualificationsRequired - Bachelor's Degree CommunicationsPreferred - Bachelor's Degree Business AdministrationPreferred - Bachelor's Degree JournalismPreferred - Bachelor's Degree MarketingPreferred - Bachelor's Degree Non-profit ManagementPreferred - Bachelor's Degree Public RelationsPreferred - Master's Degree Business AdministrationPreferred - Master's Degree CommunicationsPreferred - Master's Degree JournalismPreferred - Master's Degree MarketingPreferred - Master's Degree Non-profit ManagementPreferred - Master's Degree Public RelationsExperience QualificationsRequired - professional marketing, communications, and/or non-profit fundraising with emphasis in writing and communications 3-5 yearsPreferred - Knowledge of fundraising and development principles, methods, and procedures.Skills and AbilitiesStrong ability to communicate complex written materials to all levels of management and outside parties, both verbally and in writing.Strong understanding of annual giving strategies, including mailed and electronic appeals.Ability to collaborate with individuals and groups of people to work towards the accomplishment of work and organizational goals.Ability to plan, schedule, manage, and organize multiple tasks and projects.Ability to use creative thinking and problem solving to drive work plans and work products.Ability to meet with individual donor prospects, solicit fundraising report, and build fundraising relationships.Strong interpersonal skills with an interest in developing strong relationships within and outside of the organization.Supervision Provided by this PositionThere are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.
