Overview
Registered Nurse – ER, travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting in Marysville, California. Start date: 08/10/2026. Eight-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Travel employment type. Weekly pay range: $2,008–$2,123. This role supports adult through geriatric patients within an acute care environment and requires active state RN licensure, BLS, and ER-specific certifications.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients across adult to geriatric populations within the emergency department, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention
- Develop and implement care plans using the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, monitor patient responses, and manage IV sedation per scope of practice and unit standards
- Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate to physicians as needed
- Document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) with accuracy and completeness; communicate changes during handoffs
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and coordinate post-acute care when appropriate
- Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory and facility policies throughout the shift
- Handover with oncoming staff to ensure continuity of care and patient safety

Requirements
- License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required at time of hire for ER; TNCC within 1 year; IV Sedation competency within 6 months; Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia during orientation
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent ER nursing experience
- Education: BSN preferred
- Additional: Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department; EPIC experience is preferred
