Major Duties Responsible for the research, evaluation, recommendation and administration of systems and procedures to ensure the protection of information processed, stored or transmitted. Identify security risks and exposures, determine the causes of complex security violations at the highest technical level and suggest procedures to halt future incidents. Provide consulting and support to in‑house developers to apply appropriate information security procedures and products; provide technical expertise and support to client, IT management and staff in risk assessments and implementation. Assist system users relative to information systems security matters. Act as the technical or business consultant on project development, new techniques and the implementation of new processes. Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of various systems, good consultative skills, communication skills, analytical ability and the ability to work effectively with client IT management and staff. Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with client, IT management and staff, vendors and consultants. Experience: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least four, typically six or more years of technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Salary Range $74,200 - 126,200 USD – a good faith estimate of base pay.
