Base Salary: $55,000–$60,000

Total Compensation Potential: $100,000–$110,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Event Sales Manager to join a high-volume hospitality and entertainment venue in Edina, MN. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys prospecting, networking, developing new business, and building lasting client relationships.

This is a true sales-focused position with responsibility for developing and managing a personal book of business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning a significant annual revenue goal, actively pursuing new opportunities, and managing their sales pipeline from initial prospecting through closing.

The Event Sales Manager will also work closely with the operations team to ensure events are sold appropriately and client expectations can be successfully executed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to generate new event and corporate business.
• Manage an individual annual sales goal of approximately $1 million or more .
• Prospect for new clients through outbound calls, email campaigns, networking, community involvement, referrals, and relationship development.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified event opportunities.
• Conduct site tours, client meetings, presentations, and sales appointments.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate event details, and close business.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for repeat and referral business.
• Develop relationships with corporations, local businesses, organizations, meeting planners, and other potential event partners.
• Participate in external networking and prospecting activities throughout the local market.
• Monitor individual sales performance and adjust prospecting and sales strategies as needed to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, client information, and pipeline reporting.
• Partner closely with venue operations to ensure events being sold can be successfully executed.
• Communicate event expectations and client commitments clearly to the appropriate operational teams.
• Stay current on local market activity, competitors, and opportunities for new business.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience within restaurants, hotels, event venues, entertainment concepts, catering, hospitality, or a related high-volume environment preferred.
• Proven experience developing new business and managing a personal book of business.
• Experience working toward significant individual revenue or sales goals.
• Corporate event sales experience is highly desirable.
• Strong outbound prospecting and networking skills.
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline and independently identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of the full event lifecycle from initial sale through operational execution.
• Ability to balance client expectations with the operational capabilities of the venue.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a goal-driven environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, management, and operations teams.
