Work Environment

Located in the heart of Elk Grove, California, our outpatient office fosters a collaborative and patient-centered atmosphere. Staff members enjoy a spirited environment that prioritizes teamwork and professional development. The workspace is designed to enhance patient comfort, featuring a range of therapeutic equipment and resources to ensure optimal care delivery. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient appointments and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments to develop individualized and evidence-based treatment plans for patients facing various mobility and functional challenges.
• Implement therapeutic interventions that incorporate exercise prescriptions, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as electrical stimulation to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver coordinated care.
• Provide education to patients and their families on physical health topics, including injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage in staff meetings and continue to participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge of contemporary practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist at Health Coast Behavioral Center will work with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes in rehabilitation, and those dealing with chronic conditions that impair their mobility. The goal is to empower each patient towards achieving their optimal physical function, thus improving their overall quality of life. You will utilize a comprehensive approach to care that goes well beyond basic rehabilitation, addressing mental and emotional well-being in conjunction with physical recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, methods, and therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Strong communication skills and empathetic approach to patient care, fostering trust and rapport.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Experience with specialized populations, such as athletes or geriatric patients, is a plus.
• Considerable knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment modalities specific to physical health therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
