Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center in Goshen, NY. The role requires interaction with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, nurses, and support staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate patients' physical abilities and limitations, setting tailored therapy goals to guide treatment.

• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that focus on restoring mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing further decline in physical health.

• Deliver hands-on therapy techniques, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, balance training, and gait training, tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Educate patients and their families on effective mobility techniques and establish home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery.

• Regularly collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure synchronized treatment efforts and share updates on patient progress and involvement.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and outcomes as per facility protocols and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse population, including elderly patients recovering from surgeries, individuals with mobility impairments, and those undergoing rehabilitation after injuries. Your ability to adapt treatment plans to meet varying needs is essential to enhance the quality of life for those in your care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program (B.S., M.S., D.P.T., or equivalent certification).

• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New York is mandatory.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

• A strong understanding of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and adherence to the ethical guidelines set by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in physical therapy, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in skilled nursing or outpatient therapy environments.

• Experience in acute care settings is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and performance. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
