Top Skills Network Engineering Firewalls - Palo Alto Cisco Routers/Switches Azure Cloud Networking Description Looking for a Network Engineer to support our clients IT infrastructure and corporate expansion based on the tremendous growth they're experiencing. This involves scalability, performance and security concerns. The Network Engineer plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support. They are a part of a small team, and will need to be able to self manage often. They will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks and need to be the type of person that is always looking for the next thing they can do to help the team. Candidates need to have experience managing, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco devices. They heavily use Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Meraki, so candidates either need experience with these tools or similar Cisco devices that will allow them to get up to speed quickly. They also need to have experience managing and configuring Palo Alto Firewalls or similar devices. This is a heavy Azure shop so candidates must have experience working with Microsoft Azure. They should be comfortable setting up VNets, Subnets, integrating with other platforms like Palo Alto, troubleshooting Azure networks, and have an overall comfortability with the platform itself. They will also be working with cross functional teams and need to be able to effectively communicate with vendors and executives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
