This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and server technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter experts in application benchmarks specifically in AI inferencing, server performance, network, storage and virtualizationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Drive and support engineering activities for server and high‑density system designsLead system‑level integration, bring‑up, and validation of serversInterface with customers to analyze technical problems and provide solutionsProactively identify and escalate critical issues to senior management and vendors, ensuring timely and effective resolution of product-related challengesIdentify, escalate, and resolve critical engineering issues from production lineSupport early PM sample build and first factory builds; work with quality teams with documentation and analysisResearch server architectures and emerging technologiesQualifications:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent work experiences0-2 years of experience in server development, system architecture, or hardware engineeringStrong understanding of computer/server architecture and electronic fundamentalsHands‑on experience with server brings‑up, validation, and troubleshootingExcellent communication and presentation skills are crucial, with the ability to effectively interact with customersFamiliarity with industry trends and standards such as AI, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, data center, hosting and cloud gaming is highly advantageousSalary Range$95,000 - $112,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
