Payroll Manager

Job Description JOB CATEGORY: PAYROLL / ACCOUNTING / FINANCE REMOTE ELIGIBLE - MUST RESIDE IN NEW MEXICO OR TEXAS POSITION SUMMARY: This position has the sole responsibility for oversight and supervision of payroll functions for the organization. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or closely related field.
- Minimum five years' experience in payroll administration, of which two years include supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and skill with automated financial applications, including personal computer and related software. Oracle experience preferred.
- American Payroll Association Fundamental Payroll Certification preferred; recommended within 24 months of hire.
- Certified Payroll Professional certification strongly preferred within 60 months of hire.
- All bonuses subject to tax withholding and eligibility requirements.
- Founded in 1969, PMS is a non-profit organization with over 1,300 employees providing services at 100+ locations in New Mexico.
