5 axis cnc machinist

We are a premier manufacturing solutions provider in Largo looking for a skilled 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating high-precision, multi-axis milling machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance components. This position requires spatial reasoning, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of advanced machining methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Setup & Workholding: Install, align, and secure complex fixtures (including zero-point clamping systems) to prepare high-precision parts for multi-angle machining.
• Collision Avoidance & Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor simultaneous 5-axis movements during live operation to prevent costly machine crashes between the rotating table, spindle, and fixtures.
• Precision In-Process Inspection: Utilize specialized calipers, micrometers, and on-machine probes to verify micro-tolerances throughout the cutting and finishing process.
• Program Simulation & Verification: Run and verify G-code through simulation software prior to machining to ensure toolpaths are completely safe, optimized, and accurate.

salary: $22 - $30 per hour

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
