Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist with Texoma Care, you will work onsite in the comfort of patients' homes, fostering a relaxed atmosphere conducive to healing and rehabilitation. Your typical schedule will involve a Monday to Friday workweek of 40 hours. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will leverage cutting-edge practices and clinical insights to optimize patient outcomes while adapting to the unique challenges presented in a home care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and functionality.
• Design, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that align with the physician's directives and address the specific needs of each patient.
• Treat a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine needs, ensuring that each treatment reflects a patient-centered approach.
• Utilize your strong communication skills to educate and engage patients and their caregivers, helping them understand their treatment plans and encouraging their active participation in the recovery process.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions in patients' homes, employing the latest procedures and techniques to foster functional improvements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and meet established minimum utilization goals, continuously seeking to improve overall effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on home care, giving you the opportunity to work directly with patients in their everyday environment. You will cater to a wide range of patient demographics, from young children to senior adults, each requiring personalized rehabilitation strategies. Building rapport with your patients will be crucial, enabling you to encourage their progress and exceed functional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• State License in Physical Therapy and certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for fostering positive relationships with patients.
• Proficiency in computer skills and word processing, allowing efficient documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
• A genuine desire to connect with patients and contribute positively to their recovery experiences.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy environment.
• CCurrent CPR certification.
