Job Summary Registered Nurse Emergency Room position with a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for candidates with 1+ year of experience. Responsibilities Deliver patient‑centered nursing care in accordance with standards of care defined by Wesley Medical Center. Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality of care activities to initiate, implement and sustain process improvements. Acquire and maintain current knowledge in nursing practice and education. Monitor patients’ progress toward attainment of desired outcomes. Contribute to the professional development of peers, colleagues and others. Collaborate with patients, significant others and health‑care providers in providing and advocating for patient care. Consider safety and cost‑effectiveness when delivering patient care. Make decisions and actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner. Participate in the improvement of operational functions of the department. Establish and maintain effective and respectful communication in developing all collaborative relationships. Evaluate and participate in opportunities for outstanding service to all customers and accept responsibility in partnership that is equally respectful to everyone. Demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge of age‑appropriate competencies to the department‑specific population. Utilize critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to identify, interpret and access appropriate resources in patient‑specific scenarios. Secure, administer and handle medication in accordance with established guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification within 6 months of start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of start date. Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 6 months of start date. Registered Nurse (RN) license.
