*Job Overview*

The Goodman Eye Center in San Francisco is looking for a full-time OD to join our solo Ophthalmologist/four optometrists, fun and busy practice. New Grads welcome! We are the citys finest and most established Cornea, Refractive and Anterior Segment clinic. Our services include:

Premium Cataract, Refractive and Keratoplasty surgeries

In-office procedures, including Lasik, PRK, Epi-On Crosslinking, YAG, and Light Adjustable Lenses with Light Delivery Device Treatment

Comprehensive eye exams, with a large volume of Glaucoma patients

Dedicated Dry Eye Clinic, including Tear Osmolarity testing, IPL, Tearcare and Thermal 1-Touch

Full-scope diagnostics, including Autorefractor, iDesign Aberrometer, HVF, Anterior and Posterior Segment OCT, Optos Fundus camera, Specular Microscopy, TMS-4 Topography, and Pentacam Tomography

Research opportunity: Participating in Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials of Epi-On Crosslinking

Specialty Contacts Lenses: Eyeprint, Sclerals, Hybrids and RGPs

Ophthalmic scribes and technicians available

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ocular health and vision care, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment. This role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual disorders, and recommending appropriate treatments or corrective lenses along with other administrative tasks.

*Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect ocular diseases.
* Diagnose and manage conditions including but not limited to glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, dry eyes, keratoconus and other corneal conditions.
* Prescribe corrective lenses and provide recommendations for vision therapy.
* Maintain accurate patient records and document examination findings using medical coding.
* Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the use of contact lenses and protective eyewear.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry, ophthalmology, and related fields.
* Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

*Requirements*
* Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state license to practice optometry.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and physiology.
* Familiarity with aseptic techniques in clinical settings.
* Experience or interest in pediatrics is a plus.
* Proficiency in optical systems and equipment used in eye examinations.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
* Previous experience in sales within an optical setting is advantageous but not required.
