SAP FI with OneSource Tax Provision & Vertex

Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on SAP FI consultant with experience supporting OneSource Tax Provision, Thomson Reuters tax tools, or similar tax technology platforms. The role will support tax technology initiatives through requirements documentation, process analysis, testing, JIRA execution, issue tracking, and coordination with Tax, IT, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP FICO and Public Cloud Finance experience and be comfortable providing hands-on support throughout build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization. Key Responsibilities
- Support OneSource Tax Provision or similar tax application projects, enhancements, and operational activities.
- Document business and technical requirements, process flows, test scenarios, user stories, and support procedures.
- Use JIRA to manage tasks, defects, testing progress, and follow-up actions.
- Partner with Tax, IT, and project teams to execute testing and validate results.
- Identify, track, and resolve application and integration issues.
- Provide hands-on support during build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Translate business requirements into clear IT requirements and testable outcomes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of tax and finance technology initiatives.
- Support SOX, finance, tax, and compliance-related application activities where applicable.
- Hands-on experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Thomson Reuters tax tools, or similar direct tax technology platforms.
- Strong SAP FICO experience across GL, AR, AP, AA, BA, CEA, CCA, PCA, IO, and TR.
- Experience with SAP Public Cloud Finance.
- Strong experience with JIRA for task, defect, and issue management.
- Strong requirements documentation and testing experience.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear IT requirements and testable outcomes.
- Experience coordinating with business, tax, IT, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and issue-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on, detail-oriented environment.
- Experience supporting SOX, finance, tax, or compliance-related applications.
- Experience with tax technology implementations, enhancements, or production support.
- Experience with post-go-live stabilization and operational support.
