Human resources coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations, employee onboarding, compliance activities, reporting, personnel records, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, handling confidential HR information, and responding professionally to employee inquiries. Must be able to work 100% Onsite. The ideal candidate will be an organized, dependable HR professional who can manage multiple administrative responsibilities accurately while interacting professionally with employees. Experience with Workday, union environments, investigations, and ethics-related matters would be particularly valuable. Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to independently manage information.
• Proficiency navigating the Workday HRIS system.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and resolving ethics cases preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and remain self-directed.

salary: $30.33 - $31.21 per hour

work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-hire activities and prepare for biweekly new-hire orientation and onboarding.
• Manage daily HR procedures to support compliance with company policies, including attendance, separations, and training.
• Respond professionally to general HR inquiries received by phone, email, or in person.
• Prepare weekly reporting on key HR information, including terminations, headcount, payroll, milestone anniversaries, and leaves of absence.
• Review incoming mail and process HR-related items such as invoices, unemployment claims, and garnishment requests.
• Maintain personnel files in both paper and electronic formats.
• Administer programs and DEI initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement and foster a sense of belonging in the workplace.
