A mid-sized hospital in New York City is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract with an ASAP start. This role requires expertise in hospital pharmacy practice, supporting clinical operations during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles for optimal patient care
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses on medication management
- Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for daily operations
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Comfortable working night shifts
- Prior experience with EPIC system considered a strong advantage
