A mid-sized hospital in New York, NY, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their night shift operations on a 13-week contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hospital pharmacy experience who are comfortable working overnight hours and ready for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and safety of medication orders
- Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians during night shifts
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication therapy
- Collaborate and consult effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication management
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication distribution and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in New York State
- Solid background in hospital pharmacy settings
- Ability and willingness to work night shift hours
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records is highly advantageous
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
