This, along with our remarkable culture of belonging, weekly devotionals, and endless opportunities for learning and growth—all situated within a beautiful and historic campus—make it hard to imagine a more inspiring place to work.Brigham Young University strongly prefers to hire faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.**The last day to submit an application for this position is, May 8, 2026 by 11:59pm MST. **Dining Director, Retail OperationsThis position directs all aspects of most of the retail operations in Dining Services, including the Cougareat Food Court, Jamba, MOA Café, Food-to-Go, and Harvey’s Restaurant.What you’ll do in this position:Responsible for the overall success of the Retail Dining operationSets policies, procedures, operational expectations.Gives direction to management team regarding safety and sanitation to comply with all county, state, and federal standards and regulations.Reviews condition of equipment with General Manager and makes final decision on CNA requests.Directs or advises Retail Dining General Manager on employment and disciplinary matters.Reviews financial statements with General Manager and Director of Performance & Strategy and recommends course of action to improve operations and reduce budget variancesStudies and recommends strategic direction in order to stay current and ahead of changes in University population, on-campus residency, new buildings, new product offerings, and new nutritional regulations and customer expectations.Consults on franchise contracts and directs franchise development strategies.Advises Managing Director on potential new franchise opportunities.What qualifies you for this role:RequiredA firm commitment to the mission of BYU.Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ progressive management experience in collegiate/educational or business/industry hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience.PreferredServSafe certified (preferred – can be provided upon hire)Demonstrated convenience/grocery success and experienceDemonstrated franchise success and experienceWhat we offer in return:This position comes with fantastic benefits , including:401k.
